Panda Pride and Veteran's Day

Mary Conlee received her Panda Pride award in November. She absolutely loves school and enjoys all the programs and special events at Parkway. She also loves being on stage like her Daddy.

Cole participated in the Veteran's Day program at Lawndale. He, much like his Mom, would rather be somewhere else BESIDES on stage, but he did a great job saluting our Veterans at this special assembly.

The Next Karate Kid

As soon as Mary Conlee's birthday party was over Friday night, we drove to Birmingham. Cole had a tae-kwon-do tournament the next morning in Jacksonville, AL, so Bubbe and Pop's house was the perfect place to spend the night. On Saturday, we caravanned to Jacksonville with Bubbe and Pop and Crab in tow. Cole had a good cheering section! We were all excited when he won first place in forms, although he didn't place in sparring. We are so proud of our karate kid!

Glad to have Aunt Jen there, too!

Our Fancy Nancy

One thing Mary Conlee enjoys is being fancy! She loves to dress up, eat fancy food, and have tea parties. So for birthday party, Mary Conlee and a few of her school friends were whisked away in a limousine and taken to Little Diva's for a Nancy Party tea party. I think the limo ride was probably the favorite part for all of the giggling girls. They didn't know exactly what to think when they saw it parked in MC's driveway, but as soon as it took off, they seemed to feel at home with the music and flashing lights! At Little Diva's, they were dressed in fancy hats and feather boas before having their makeup and nails done. As soon as they were all dressed up, they played several games and made a picture frame. They concluded the party with a tea party in Fancy Nancy Style. It was so much fun to watch the girls in this element. In just a few years, we will be watching them dress up "for real" as they attend prom and senior parties. I am going to hit the pause button for as long as I can so we can enjoy them as little girls!

Birthday Celebrations

So what if it's only 6:00 a.m.? I'm 8 today!

Yummy Yogurt is my fave

Celebrating our little lady

Going to school didn't interfere with Mary Conlee and all her birthday celebrations! She started the day off on the couch opening her birthday presents. Her sweet big brother suggested that we take her to Connie's for breakfast before school. This is Cole's favorite place to eat...how thoughtful! For lunch, I surprised her with Yummy Yogurt favorite lunch--muffin and fruit cup. We shared strawberry cupcakes with her classmates. For dinner, she picked her favorite place to eat (mine, too) and we ended the birthday celebration at Park Heights. We love you, Mary Conlee!
