Driving to the Big "D"

Cole and Judd took a road trip to Dallas in January for the National Taekwondo Tournament. They braved the 9 hour trip in two days while the girls had a shopping trip and lakehouse getaway weekend. I think MC and I got the better end of that deal!

There are so many great landmarks in Dallas...the new Cowboys stadium, the Grassy Knoll, Reunion Tower. But not for my boys. They chose Speed Zone and Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum as their choices for sightseeing!

Ready to race-- Gentlemen...start your engines!

Ripley's is high on Cole's list of important places to visit

Walking over the volcano bridge wasn't as easy as it seems

Another option in 2012...just sayin'!

Cole placed 2nd in forms so he was excited to get his silver medal. In sparring, he did well, but was beaten by a girl, of all things! With a national tournament under his "belt," he has completed another requirement on the road to becoming a black belt. The boys had fun on their trip. On their way to Dallas, they ate at a Waffle House outside of Little Rock. On their way home, they stopped in another Waffle House in Texarkana. They enjoyed being together, doing guy things, and whooping it up at the tournament. But when Judd asked if he missed the girls, Cole said, "Oh yeah. I'm ready to get back home."
