Tickling the Ivories

Mary Conlee began piano lessons last March with Mrs. Linda Kinsey and she has loved every minute of it! I remember my days of piano lessons that started at age 4 and ended at 16. I can't say I enjoyed one minute of the practice time, the lessons, and especially not the recitals and competitions. But I am so thankful to my parents and Granny for giving me the opportunity to take lessons. I love being able to sit down at my piano and play.

In January, Mary Conlee participated in the North Mississippi Keyboard Festival, playing "Go Tell It On The Mountain." This was her first time to perform in front of judges. She wasn't nervous at all. I can't say the same about her mother! She received all superior ratings. A few weeks later, she along with the other Calvary kids played their songs during the Sunday evening worship time.

Preparing her mind and heart to play!

Way to go, Mary Conlee!

MC enjoyed being in the same group with several of her friends. Good job, MC and SF!

Playing at church

MC, we are so proud of you and are thrilled that you have a love for playing the piano. I hope you never lose your excitement! Practice makes perfect is something I heard on a daily basis at my house. You will thank us one day, just like my Momma always told me--she was right!
