SNOW much fun!

Our kids have been talking about the impending snow for several days. Judd is our resident weather watcher and he has been tracking the "snow storm" since Friday. We didn't wake up to a foot of snow like we had hoped, but we did have a few inches of the white powder and that's all the snow we needed! The kids woke up at 6:15, as if it were Christmas morning. They were so excited! We bundled up and headed outside around 6:30, before any other neighbors were out. The kids ran around, threw snowballs, and licked snow off the bushes. We even put little Brody outside to enjoy his first snow. He didn't quite know what to think!

This is the second "real" snow that the kids have seen. We had a March snow last year, too. When I was a little girl, I remember going out and playing in the snow until I was frozen. Then, my Granny would bring out her big mustard yellow mixing bowl and make snow ice cream with me. So, each time we've had snow, Cole and Mary Conlee help me make it. Fresh snow, milk, sugar, and vanilla make the best wintry treat! By 7:30, we were back inside eating our snow ice cream and warming our hands and feet. I'm so thankful that even in the south, God gives us just a little snow to enjoy from time to time!
