Mary Conlee has taken piano lessons for a little over a year. She absolutely loves to practice and perform her pieces...for us, the cat, and all her dolls. So when she performed her song in the spring piano recital at Mrs. Kinsey's house, she wasn't nervous at all. She actually had a surprise speaking part! The Gingerbread Man. Each year, Mrs. Kinsey does something unique and special with the recital. This year, she opted for several small group recitals instead of lumping all the students into one event. After the recital, we enjoyed refreshments that were extra special for the occasion--several kinds of homemade ice cream and every cookie that was presented in the program. Just one of the many reasons we love and are so thankful for Mrs. Kinsey. She loves music and loves each child...which makes them LOVE to play the piano. Sorry to say, but Mrs. Murray (may she rest in peace), instilled the fear of God in me...not necessarily the love of music. Thank goodness I learned to appreciate it anyway! We are proud of you, MC!
